Program Description: Welcome to historic Concepción, Talcahuano and surrounding areas. Your tour will begin with a visit to Concepción, which is considered to be the second most important city in Chile. The route will start in the Plaza de la Independencia (Independence Square), from there you can visit the city's iconic cathedral, Catedral de la Santísima Concepción.  The tour will continue through the Ecuador Park, where you will stop to visit La Galería de la Historia, a museum which houses local history retold through dioramas. The following destination will be the Universidad de Concepción campus and Casa del Arte (Art Gallery), with its majestic mural “Presencia de América Latina”. From there, the trip will continue in Talcahuano with a visit to the Monitor Huáscar Floating Museum, followed by a tour through the Pedro del Río Zañartu Museum and Park. You will finish your trip at the mouth of the Bío Bío River, and return to the point of departure at the scheduled time.

TALCAHUANO - MONITOR HUÁSCAR

Program Description: This tour takes you to nearby Talcahuano Port, from where you can observe the bay and fishing zone, and also go aboard the Monitor Huascar, a historical memorial from the Pacific War. Later, you will head through the industrial zone towards the recreational and historic Pedro del Río Zañartu Park and museum, which is home to an extensive collection of artifacts collected from all over the world.  Finally, you will make your way towards the mouth of one of Chile’s widest rivers, the Bío Bío, from where you will conclude the tour and return to the point of departure at the scheduled time.

Program DescriptionOn an exciting journey back in time, you will take a walk through the beautiful gardens of the Isidora Goyenechea de Cousiño Park, and the historic Coal Museum, home to the history of the Cousiño family, and the wealth they acquired with black gold. Later, you will go on an extraordinary underground adventure through the tunnels of the Chiflon del Diablo Mine (The Devil’s Blast) on a tour guided by ex miners.  The trip will finish with a visit to the traditional Pueblito Minero (Mining Village), which features recreations of typical living spaces and company stores (pulperias) of the period.  You will return to the point of departure at the scheduled time.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The program begins with a visit to the Viña Chillan, located in the city of Bulnes. Upon arrival, you will take a guided tour through the facilities and wine cellar, and then you will enjoy a tasting of the winery’s signature varietals.  The morning will end with a lunch at the winery’s restaurant.  After lunch, you will continue with a visit to the Viña Männle, where you will have the opportunity to visit the facilities accompanied by a tour guide who will explain the winemaking process of these renowned wines.  The tour will end with a tasting of the winery’s trademark wines.  You will then return to the point of departure at the scheduled time.

Program description: The program begins with a visit to the historical city of Chillán, also known as "The land of Artists". On arrival you will visit the Plaza de Armas and Chillan’s famous Cathedral, a symbol of the city’s modern architecture. You will visit the Arts and Crafts Fair and finish off with a visit to the Claudio Arrau museum. From there you will be taken to Quillón, a small town south west of Chillan, where you will be treated to a delicious lunch. The afternoon activities will consist of a visit to the Lomas de Quillón Vineyard in Cerro Negro, where you will be given a liquor distillery tour and enjoy a complimentary tasting. You will then return to Concepcion at the scheduled time.

Program description: The program begins in the morning with the first stop in Cañete, where you will be given a complete tour of this historic city. You will visit the Clava Mapuche monument, Paseo de las Araucarias Avenue, Caupolicán Square, Tucapel Fort, and the Main Square. The tour will resume with a visit to the Mapuche Museum, which houses the largest collection of Mapuche tools and artifacts in the region. After this visit, you will enjoy a delicious Chilean/ Mapuche intercultural lunch. The next stop is a visit to the Ruka Lelbún cultural center, a traditional Mapuche house, nestled in nature and surrounded by beautiful landscapes. From these you will also visit the Pichi Rukas and finish the day with a typical Mapuche dinner before returning to Concepcion at the scheduled time.
